Move-In Day Mafia is a "mob" of volunteers who descend upon HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) to provide dorm room makeovers and monthly care packages (for four years) to freshmen, who have aged out of foster care, are unhoused, or grapple with financial hardships.

It's an anticipated next step in life that soon-to-be HBCU STUDENTS cant wait to experience! But...
Can you imagine what it feels like to watch your roommate’s family
joyfully unpacking a mountain of supplies and essentials on move-in day
